A unique mix of West and East, my passion is igniting a love for learning in students of all backgrounds. My diverse experiences have shaped my belief in the power of education to foster global citizens that care about their world. I bring a unique blend of skills and a deep commitment to helping students understand their place in an interconnected and ever changing world.

In every classroom, I strive to make learning engaging and relevant. I integrate technology, including the latest AI tools, to create and engage in dynamic lessons tailored to student needs. This approach fosters creativity, critical thinking and adoption of the new technology skills essential for our rapidly evolving world.

My curriculum design emphasizes hands-on PBL tasks and projects that relate to students' own world and experiences. Currently, I am involved in helping run a global e-Twinning project that explores AI's impact on their world. Students collaborate with peers in Romania to evaluate AI through the lens of film and cinema, examining how these artistic mediums depict and influence our perspectives on this transformative technology. By analyzing familiar forms of media, they can better grasp the profound ways AI is shaping and will continue to shape their world.

My experience with IB has nurtured my growth as an educator. Seeking to implement IB principles, I aim to guide students to become inquirers, critical evaluators, and more compassionate human beings. This philosophy has resonated with me throughout my own Film and Media background and led me to be promoted to and pioneer the IB DP Film course at my school.

Helping students bring the power of storytelling to life — those who had previously struggled to express themselves—that's one of the reasons I love teaching! In me is the constant belief in empowering and inspiring learners, fostering their sense of agency, and preparing them to be active participants in shaping a better future for us all.
